2015 Chardonnay

Tasting Notes
“Picket Fence Chardonnay is classic Russian River, with citrus blossom, hints of ripe stone fruit, crème brûlée, and a bright balanced acidity. Lightly toasted French oak enhances the structure and spice, coalescing into a round juicy wine with an attractive lingering finish.”
-- Alison Crowe, Winemaker
Vineyards
The grapes for this Chardonnay are grown in the Russian River Vineyards of Oak Meadows Vineyard and Cameron Vineyard, where the warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen while retaining a balanced acid.
Fermentation & Aging
The grapes were pressed whole cluster and cold to retain the bright fruit. Following a long, cool primary fermentation, the wine went through full malolactic fermentation to round out the palate.
